The Brito
Foundation
The Brito Foundation is a community-driven nonprofit that connects underserved families — especially those facing language barriers — to life-changing resources, opportunities, and a place to belong.
We exist to do three things: help people immediately with the resources they need today, build trust and visibility for the families and stories that often go unheard, and grow lasting partnerships, donations, and volunteer support that multiply our impact.
From ESL classes and translation services to housing support, health fairs, and cultural events, we show up for our neighbors with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care.

Yanette Brito
Founder & President, The Brito Foundation
Yanette Brito is the Founder and President of The Brito Foundation, a Jersey City-based nonprofit dedicated to connecting underserved families with essential resources, education, and community support.
A lifelong Jersey City resident with Dominican roots, Yanette is passionate about strengthening communities and creating opportunities for families facing social, economic, and language barriers. Through The Brito Foundation, she leads programs focused on education, youth development, arts and culture, health and wellness, housing resources, immigration support, and community outreach.
Her work is driven by a commitment to collaboration, advocacy, and ensuring that every family has access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
Masciel Cuello
Youth Engagement Coordinator
Masciel Cuello is a bilingual English and Spanish professional, proud mother of three, and dedicated advocate for children and families. She holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and has more than 10 years of experience working with young children and families in early childhood education and support services.
Masciel has continued to expand her professional knowledge through training and certifications in Mental Health, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training, Child Development, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), and CPR. Her experience has strengthened her skills in behavior support, communication, social-emotional development, family engagement, and individualized care.
Passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others, Masciel is continuing to grow professionally with a focus on behavioral health, mental health, social services, and child and family support. She is committed to lifelong learning, advocacy, and building a career centered on compassion, purpose, and positive change.
